I... need a new layout and new icons. I also really want to rename, but I'm not sure what I want to change it to. Then again I don't have a whole lot of money to spend. That $15 could go towards something tangible, like... fueling my ashamed obsession with UO. Thank you pseudo-hipster boyfriend.

Buuut more importantly I need to sell my textbooks. Has anybody used Amazon? It looks like the easiest route and gives pretty good money back. Ebay seems like too much of a hassle and selling back to my school's bookstore/other stores near campus didn't work out.

And lastly, because I'm a total Douglas McCarthy fangirl:

I am FREAKING OUT over the JYJ concert audio/fancams/pictures/reports/etc. And the promise of seeing all three of them in Intoxication.

It's weird, I'm so happy with all this and enjoying it so much, but I miss the other two like crazy. I keep subconsciously expecting to hear one of them singing the next verse or something and then I get this kinda sinking feeling. But I still hope the trio's new album goes well, and all their assorted dramas and activities. What I want most is to see them all together again, but I love seeing them separate too, being successful and hopefully enjoying themselves.

I haven't been very vocal about them in a looong time, but these guys are my permanent moral support and I couldn't love them any more if I tried. ♥

(Also, Chun's new hair... giving me the same reaction as most of his hairstyles. Potentially amazing but I honestly haven't decided yet, haha. He looks SO GOOD with it long that I'm always kinda D: about anything else.)

You can seriously never have enough 80s darkwave/goth. Honestly.

And post-rock. YES to Saxon Shore, World's End Girlfriend, Eksi Ekso (!), and The Burning Paris (!!!!). I've had a serious love affair with Paris for a long time now. Eksi Ekso is basically their new band.

I love post-rock but I'm not obsessed with Godspeed or Mogwai. I know, right?

Also...

I seriously miss my very Greek other half.

We were on webcam with my mom, and she was talking it up for the longest time telling stories, and then he suddenly had to go because his mom was freaking out and calling him. I didn't get to say a whole lot between her ramblings, haha. I want him to get back online so I can ask him to get on Skype again. He's really quiet on AIM (unless we're talking about our newfound shared love - Cowboy Bebop). So I want to talk to him out loud. And I just miss him and his ancient coin nose.

Little less than a month until I can see him again in person!

So I've been into all kinds of indie nonsense lately. Lots of amazing songs from genres I never thought I'd really enjoy. And then some of my standards, but with bands I hadn't paid attention to before.

Best Coast - Our Deal
Absolutely hypnotic. Her music is beautiful, it feels like Sunday mornings, warm sunlight filtering through dust, lazing around and reminiscing.

White Ring - Roses
I. Love. Witch house. Especially White Ring. They're this kind of scary mixture of darkwave, shoegaze, goth, and I don't even know what else.

White Ring - IxC999
Vaguely gangster rap-ish. Which is insane. I think I just love drone-y everything.

Crystal Castles - Celestica
Very easy to listen to. I just enjoy it. And that's enough, right?

As Tall As Lions - A Ghost in Drag
Okay, I have a serious love for these guys. They're vaguely post rock-ish at times and overall very refreshing. I think they're really calming and the guitars are gooooorgeous.

As Tall As Lions - Circles
Without a doubt one of my favorite songs ever. Also, I should use grooveshark more.

Nurse With Wound.

Experimental, avant-garde, dark ambient, who knows what else. Some of the absolute most unsettling music ever made, in my opinion. Strangely enough the Eraserhead references freak me out more than anything, haha.

I've Plummed This Whole Neighborhood doesn't give you a second to calm down. It's constantly nervewracking. You can't think about anything else. The visuals here are disturbing as well - what's in the room that she's trying so hard to get to? My first thought is someone threatening to commit suicide. It'd fit, at least...

The Bottom Feeder is more conventionally a song (though not by much). It pulls you in and keeps you listening, even though it gets progressively more disturbing. It feels like you're listening to something that you really shouldn't be.

You really need to listen closely, don't skip around, immerse yourself in the song. Unless you don't want to be freaked out in which case don't try. 'cause NWW has gotten me a few times fdjskl

I'm constantly posting videos/pictures/whatever on my facebook, but why not here? I dunno, haha.

My first jrock video, back in 2003. I was 12.

Late MM is still awesome. ♥ Bara no Seidouuu.

Went to the mall today! ☆ We went to Sephora (my mom got a few things), a store I can't remember the name of (looked better on the outside, inside it was all overpriced and old-looking), Godiva, and Claire's.

New glasses (LIGHT PIIIINK) and a Godiva "Chocolixir". ajklfdjs. I love how I go in there wearing a black velvet floor length jacket, black scarf, black shoes... and I buy pink sunglasses and chocolate.

Life's been pretty good lately.

EDIIIT

I just realized my pictures weren't showing up. I hope they are now adsfghj
